The Retail Associate plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Trinity Energy Group’s retail store, specializing in tools, interiors, and construction-related products. This position involves customer service, counter sales, inventory management, and warehouse support, including stocking and forklift operation. The Retail Associate is expected to develop a strong understanding of the products and services offered by Trinity Energy Group and its vendors to assist customers effectively and contribute to sales efforts – both in-store and, at times, off-site.
The role requires a high level of product knowledge (especially around plumbing), a proactive attitude toward learning, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Retail Associate will also support inventory processes, purchase order handling, and health and safety practices, while assisting with various tasks to ensure the store runs efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily operations at the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of plumbing products, parts, and services offered by Trinity Energy Group, including vendor-specific support.
- Utilize plumbing experience to assist customers in identifying appropriate products, troubleshooting basic issues, and recommending suitable solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service, including counter sales, order management, and assisting with customer inquiries.
- Network with contractors, plumbers, and clients regularly to foster relationships and enhance sales opportunities.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving purchase orders, verifying plumbing materials, and conducting cycle counts.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other store-related duties as directed by management.
Job Requirements:
- Plumbing experience required.
- Must have excellent customer service.
- Previous retail experience considered an asset.
- Previous sales experience considered an asset.
- Trinity specific on-the-job training may be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player and willing to learn.
